I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a sex expert based in Huntington Beach, California. I provide sex therapy, couples therapy, premarital counseling, marriage counseling, discernment counseling, divorce counseling and IFS therapy for individuals, couples, and groups in order to help them overcome issues in their relationship. Individuals do not have to be in a relationship to come see me! I also help anyone who is struggling with a recent breakup, separation, or a personal issue (such a trauma or addition).
I take confidentiality very seriously and I assure you, my office is a safe environment for you talk about anything. I won't judge!
I am also LGBTQIA+ and kink/poly affirmative.
I have an office in Huntington Beach. For the clients who live or work too far, I provide online tele-therapy sessions for clients who have had at least one in-person session with me.
If you are anywhere in the OC (Orange County) or LA County and want to get started on getting to the happy life, the first step is to schedule an appointment by clicking the orange link below. You can also call my office.
Please keep in mind, I usually contact my clients prior to their initial appointment to get a feel of what kind of services they are looking for and to ensure that they are receiving the best care.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I'm trained to look at the big picture and work with more than one person in the room. Although many of my clients come in individually, we often discuss the people in their lives as well. I tend to switch between being directive and non-directive, depending on what I perceive the client needs. I won't sit there and solve all your problems for you, but rather give you professional insight and help you understand why that problem is an issue for you. I have experienced being a client while in training and take into consideration the hopes and expectations I had of my own therapists.
What the process looks like when you contact me:
Call me at my number below and if I don't answer, please leave me a voicemail saying that you are a potential client looking to get information and possibly set up an appointment. When we speak, I would like to hear a little about what made you interested in my services and why you are seeking services to make sure we are a good fit. If I don't feel like my skills would best suit your needs or our schedules don't match, I will do my best to provide you with some referral options. During the phone consultation, I would also want to discuss fees and direct you to the intake paperwork to fill out and send to me before (or bring with you to) the first session.
During the initial session, I ask more details about the issues that brought you to therapy. For couples, I also explain the Gottman Checkup that I request they fill out at home, which costs $30. The beginning of treatment tends to include more directive psychoeducation for most of my specialties due to needing to teach the client the necessary skills that will be used.
