Pillow Talk Therapy
The dynamics of romantic relationships have long fascinated both the average person and professionals alike. How people continue to make decisions that leave them in pain and how people choose their partners. There is a lot that goes on in our brains behind the scenes when we are in a relationship and unfortunately, most of us are not set up to succeed in relationships. It sounds cliche to say it doesn't have to do with our parents but that is where we first learned how to connect to another human and those patterns tend to follow us through life.
Couple therapy can help us recognize these patterns of relating to others that we have and how they may or may not be contributing to the problems in our romantic relationships. It also teaches us how to effectively communicate with our partner in order to understand each other and get our needs met. Some common reasons people seek couples therapy include arguing often, infidelity, getting stuck in the pursuer - distancer rut, and loss of passion or intimacy. If you are unsure if the problem you are seeking help for fits into this category, feel free to call and we can guide you in the right direction.
** This style of therapy can also be useful for clients in LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, and open relationships. Love can take many forms and so can pain so as long as at least one of you has feelings we have something to work with!
